Our Goals
The Red Thread's goal is to touch the life of a child in every aspect of our work. While we strive
to meet that goal day-to-day, we also touch the lives of our financial supporters, those who
purchase items from The Red Thread, and those who receive our gifts from our
art and gift galleries and our volunteers.
For the orphans, this means arranging medical treatment and delivering medical supplies to orphanages either through TRT directly or teaming with other 501(c)3 organizations. For other children in need, we send blankets, shawls, flip flops, socks and stuffed toys, letting each little one know that they are special and loved in their time of need.
For financial supporters and those who purchase our gifts, this means keeping them updated on the progress that they have made possible by their generous donations and purchases. As our children are identified for surgery or as we assist children between surgeries, we continually post the updated information on our website and send out mailings. When a gift is sent from a purchaser to a recipient, TRT includes one of our brochures and, when available, our updated flyer regarding the children we are currently helping.
